In his letter to the Ephesians, the apostle Paul writes about God empowering church leaders “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). What are the ways that a minister has helped this community of faith to equip the saints for ministry, or to build up the Body of Christ in this place?
Today, we offer gratitude for the many ways that our ministers help to build up the Body of Christ through their leadership and ministry. Thank you for the sermons. Thank you for the worship gatherings. Thank you for the educational opportunities for all ages. Thank you for the ways you equip people for discipleship. Thank you for the home and hospital visits. Thank you for your outreach and justice leadership. Thank you for the prayers and care. Thank you for your faithfulness and your call to be a minister in The United Church of Canada.
Thanks to our gifts to Mission & Service, we support our ministers through theological education training and continuing education. Mission & Service also provides support to your community of faith through pastoral relations at the regional council and the denominational council. Thank you for your gifts to Mission & Service.
If Mission & Service giving is already a regular part of your life, thank you so much! If you have not given, please join in making Mission & Service giving a regular part of your life of faith. Loving our neighbour is at the heart of our Mission & Service.
